Toy Instructions
Fireplace
- Open the damper by moving the lever just above the opening to the right
check that the damper is open. Open the fresh air vent by pulling out
the lever on the right side of the fire place, behind the curtain. (If
fresh air lever doesn't easily pull out, push to the left to unlock it, then
pull out.) Use
the remote (kept on the top of the mantle) to turn the fire on and set the flame height.
Good idea to not run the fireplace when nobody is enjoying it. Seems to
be a bit warmer with the doors open.
NB: If you fail to open the damper and the fresh air vent, you
will be treated to the smoke/CO alarm. (BTW: Fireplace is supposed
to shut
down if CO is too high.)
Basement Stove - Controlled by a thermostat which is below the basement stairs. Fan automagically comes on when the stove is warm. Will work during a power outage.
Tractor - Key is in kitchen drawer on the left side of the counter which holds the toaster. Enjoy, but you could easily kill yourself if you are not cognizant of proper operational procedures. Best advice is to not play with this toy unless you have been certified.
Kitchen Appliances - Bread machine, ice cream maker and other kitchen toys are GREAT fun. Instructions are in the file cabinet, which is in the pantry. Pre-mixed bread ingredients are in a kitchen cabinet.
Entertainment Electronics - Complex to use, but the sound (from 8 speakers) is fantastic. Use the new, super-cool Harmony remote to set the system up for whatever you want to do. Just push the "Activities" button, and then select. Be sure to point the control towards the rack of equipment so that everything gets set up. (If you do not point correctly, you may need to manually turn a device on.) Or, use the table below:

Once you get going, you'll probably need to use the following additional remotes: Direct TV, CD Player, Sirius.
We have recorded LOTS of TV shows - just click "List' to see them.
For extra credit, use the Denon remote to pick the sound appropriate to what you're watching. Movies can sound awesome through the 8 speakers.
Enjoy!
